About the Department

Department of Political Science of A.P.C. College was established in the year 1966. Both Political Science Honours and General subjects are being taught. The number of students taking up honours course in Political Science is limited whereas as general subject it is in high demand. The syllabus covers different aspects of Political Science like Political theory, International relations, Political sociology, Political movements, public administration etc.

• The department has four sanctioned posts.
• The selection procedure in Political Science Honours is purely on the basis of merit.
• Political Science Honours students are allowed to take up any two of the following subjects: History, Education, Bengali.
• The regular tutorials and class tests, special lectures on syllabus related topics are being conducted by the department.
