About the Department

The department was established in the year of 1994. It offered Industrial Fish & Fisheries as major course under the affiliation from West Bengal State University. From academic session 2018-19 under CBCS system, the course became Honours course as B.Sc. (Hons.) in Industrial Fish & Fisheries. Again the course renamed as 4 years B.Sc. (Hons.) course in Fishery Science. The department Being a multidisciplinary course, to cover the syllabi the department needs the involvement of Faculties from Department of Microbiology, Department of Zoology and other Departments whenever required.
