Sri Debasish MondalM.A. Contact Details:Assistant Professor ExperienceHe is working in the college since 12 years. His area of research is the ‘Marginal women of North eastern India’. His paper entitled ‘Interpreting Community Culture in Meghalaya: Origin, religion and Matriarchy’ was published in 2013 in the book The Study of Social History: Recent trends. He presented a paper entitled ‘Marxian Romanticism and Poetic Manifestation: Historical Background and Analysis ‘ in the Indian History Congress held in December,2015. Another paper entitled ‘A Critique to Women’s history writing : Colonial and post Colonial consciousness, depicting marginal women as a centre of discussion’ was presented in the U.G.C. sponsored national seminar held in February, 2016 . A paper entitled ‘Portraying Indian Village Women and Society through the Ages : Mid nineteenth century Bengal, U.P in 1980s and Gujarat in recent times,’ was presented in the national seminar organised by the Itihas Baithaki, Kolkata. He also attended a workshop on the foundation course of history in September 2015. This was a collaboration of APC College, New Barrackpore and BKC College. He is the Programme Officer of Unit III of the NSS of the college. The students of the department are inspired to render social services through NSS and Extension Activities. Thanks to the efforts of Sri Debasish Mondal a nearby village called Panihara has been adopted where social works are undertaken. |
