Eligibility
Passed 3-year B.Sc./B.A.Hons. in respective subjects from UGC recognized University. For Electronic Science , graduates with Hons. in Physics may also apply. A candidate intending to apply both for Physics and Electronic Science must submit separate application forms.
No candidates would be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 2 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognized regular course of study after passing the last qualifying examination, the year of admission will not be taken into account while calculating 2 years of passing the last qualifying examination.
N.B. – For M.A. Course in History only BENGALI will be offered as a GEC subject in the Third Semester. So only candidates who are able to read and write in Bengali are advised to apply. The Institution will not be making any special provisions for candidates who are not able to study Bengali as a GEC subject.
Students must upload legible copies of all relevant supporting documents ,i.e. mark sheets ofqualifying examination , certificates from competent authority for reserved categoryand otherdocuments as mentioned in the application form,all of which should be produced in original atthe time of verification. Any discrepancy in respect of the documents if found at the time ofverificationthe admission will be cancelled.
Students selected for admission in the subject concerned musttake admissionwithin the stipulated time limit paying requisite fees via the payment gateway provided on the admission link.In respect of admission the college authority reserves the right to make final decision without beingans we are able to any outside person, agency etc. Verification of original documents should be done as per the schedule to be notified later by thecollegeonthecollegewebsite.
All admissions are provisional.Criterion for Merit List
Merit list will be based on the Merit Score which would be the sum total of C.G.P.A. as mentioned in the Final marksheet along with the S.G.P.A. obtained in Semesters V and VI.
Students need to provide C.G.P.A. and their S.G.P.A. obtained in Semesters V and VI . In case more than one student has the same Merit score. the following tiebreak system will be applied.
(i) Tie-break I – S.G.P.A in SEM VI
(ii) Tie-break II – S.G.P.A in SEM V
Reservation Policy
The admission of the S.C./S.T./O.B.C-A / O.B.C-B /Physically Challenged/EWS candidates is regulated by Government norms. If ST Candidates are not available the seats will be converted to SC. Similarly if , OBC-A candidates are not available the seats may be filled up by OBC-B candidates or vice versa.
These candidates should furnish attested copies of S.C. / S.T. / O.B.C./EWS certificate, issued by appropriate authority as per the latest Government Order. Physically Challenged Candidates must attach attested copies of relevant documents from the competent authority.
Reservation of seats for graduates from West Bengal State University and graduates fromother Universities :80% of the total seats in all the subjects are reserved for the graduates from the colleges affiliated to the West Bengal State University.
Remaining 20% of the total seats will be reserved for the graduates from the colleges affiliated Universities other than the HOME University ,i.e. West Bengal State University.
Incase , 80% of seats reserved for candidates from WBSU remain unfilled the same may be filled up with students from other Universities. Similarly if the 20% of seats reserved for candidates from other Universities remain unfilled the same may be filled up with students from WBSU.
Admission Procedure.
Based on the Final MERIT LIST admission lists will be displayed based on vacancy on the PG Admission portal .Students selected for admission in the subject concerned must take admission within the stipulated time limit on the Admission List by paying requisite fees via the payment gateway provided on the admission link. In respect of admission the college authority reserves the right to make final decision without being answerable to any outside person, agency etc.
Verification of original documents should be done as per the schedule to be notified later by the college on the college website.
