Students Financial Benefit Policy
The genesis of the college can be traced to a basic need to fulfil the educational aspirations of a generation displaced by partition. Our Institution from its nascent stage has been committed to fostering empowerment through education, guided by our college motto of ‘‘Service, Knowledge, Sacrifice’’. In alignment with this ethos AcharyaPrafulla Chandra College has a comprehensive scholarship policy reflecting a deep-seated dedication to the empowerment of economically challenged groups and the expansion of access to education for all.
To ensure that benefit accrues to the maximum number of needy studentsthe college scholarship/ free ship process is governed by a composite policyinvolvingthe Institution, Government sectors, non-government bodies, alumnus and other philanthropists. The amount of free ships for each section are determined by the Freeship Advisorycommittee withthe Principal as its Chairman.
Our Aim: The scholarship policy ofAcharya Prafulla Chandra College, has been designed with the twin objective of
- Ensuring that no student be deprived of education due to financial barrier
- To incentivise excellence in (a) Academic merit, (b) extracurricular talent in sports and culture.
Moreover, the policy is extended to support the students to develop an innovation ecosystem in the college by providing financial assist to industrial visit and other ingenious activities.
