For an Educational Institution , its Alumni  are  the  truest  testimonials  of its  success or failure  in achievement of its goal of shaping the personality and careers of the young minds to have passed through its portals .Alumni are the true brand-ambassadors  of an educational institution through their professional success, public perception, community engagement, industry influence, continuous involvement, and contributions to academic and cultural life.

The Alumni of Acharya Prafulla Chandra have been involved with the different activities of the college from academic to philanthropic over the last few decades. However the “Achrya Prafulla Chandra College Alumni association” was formally registered on 13th June, 2021 ( Under West Bengal Society Act XXVI of 191, Registration no-S0018677 of 2021-22 ).

Even before registration this college had a thriving alumni association with departmental reunions and welfare activities - a testimony to the bond between the Institution, and its students .

Mission

Acharya Prafulla Chandra  Alumni Association seeks  to foster a vibrant and engaged community of alumni dedicated to collective development of its alma mater and creation a bond between alumni and present students. Through our programs and initiatives, we will  try to uphold the principles embodied in our Institutions moto of “Service, Knowledge, Sacrifice” .We aim to build lifelong connections, provide opportunities for professional and personal growth to past and present students , support the institution through volunteerism and philanthropy, and promote a spirit of loyalty and pride among alumni.

Activity performed by alumni association:

• Biennial  alumni meet- “NEXUS”  organized by Alumni association
• Participation  in different departmental reunion  programs
• Seminars by distinguished alumni on career- prospects  and academics to bring students abreast of the latest developments in their field.
• Organising placement meet on  campus
• The association also tries to contribute in the development of college by donating different equipment, books etc.
• Philanthropic activities –
• Distribution of food, sanitizer and educational equipments to the needy students and local people during the COVID lockdown period
• Distribution of sarees/blankets  to local people is a regular feature  of our alumni meet .
• Workshops on skill development like photography, film-making ,fishery science for present students
